I cannot speak highly enough of Cole and Klaine Freeman and their Dance Star Studio. My twin daughters have danced with Dance Star four out of their five years of dance. Ms. Cole is absolutely precious with the children. She treats each child as an individual and doesn’t lump them altogether in a “one-size-fits-all” kind of class. She pulls on the strengths of each child, encouraging each to perform at their best level. “I can’t” does not reside at Dance Star. “I will try my best” is alive and well with Ms. Cole and Ms. Klaine.
Dance Star is a family run business that offers almost any level of dance that a family might desire. If dance is just a hobby for your child but not a passion, your child can excel in their dance class. If your child wants to perform at a more advanced level, Dance Star offers a performance team that is quite active as well as dance convention opportunities. Ms. Cole and Ms. Klaine never push students (or parents) to be involved at the performance team levels. Whatever level of involvement that is right for your child and your family is very much supported at Dance Star. As the mom of two girls involved in dance, I really appreciate the fact that Cole and Klaine try their best to keep dance affordable.
Dance Star provides a positive atmosphere in which students at any age can learn not only to dance, tumble, tap or twirl, but also how to listen, to get along with others and treat them respectfully, to move gracefully, and to feel comfortable on the stage. Thank you, Dance Star for all you have done to help my girls gain in physical strength, flexibility, self-esteem, and confidence. You have greatly added to their overall strength of character.
As a dance dad, Dance Star is a great place. They are awesome with my daughter Ruby! She is learning so much here! After searching around Murfreesboro I am glad I found a dance family for my family to be a part of.

Dance Star is an amazing studio, they are not your typical dance studio. Dance Star and all of the staff really pride themselves in giving the best atmosphere for your child in learning not only dance technique and ethics, but also manners and values. Ms. Klaine and Ms. Cole are beyond awesome with the children and their parents. Dance Star is truly a family atmosphere and environment. I am thankful that we are a part of such a wonderful studio. I look forward to being a part of their dance family for many years to come. We have built some new and amazing friendships that we will treasure for a lifetime.

The “Frozen” camp was a lot of fun for Hailey! She didn’t really know what the theme for camp was, but was ecstatic when she found out it was “Frozen”! Her and the other girls were the cutest Elsa’s! The girls did “Frozen” activities and wowed us with 2 final dance routines. Hailey had a blast! Ms. Cole & Ms. Mattie were awesome with the girls!

My son is in the special needs dance class at Dance Star. He is on the autism spectrum, and Ms. Cole is wonderful with him. Ms. Cole is not only helping him with age appropriate dance skills, but with life skills such as following directions, waiting, and taking turns. Having a special needs dance class is so important for our community. We love Dance Star!

When asked about what makes Dance Star special I start with how they not only want dancers to become better at dance but also better people their classes stress commitment and persistence. Opportunities to attend dance conventions to be pushed to achieve more than they thought they could. It has been impressive to watch.
Dance Stars involvement with the community is outstanding, donating time, money and talent to worthy charities such as 2 Dance 2 Dream( a special needs dance program), I Am What I Am (a fund raiser for autism awareness) and many others. Dance Star not only teaches dance but community awareness.
